New Family for Development has worked with a number of different Christian churches to bring about increase in the Kingdom of God through prayer, study, discussion, training, and evangelism.

Some of the activities in which the organisation has engaged have been:

• 2 National Prayer Events to pray for peace during the most recent civil war.
• A countrywide prayer tour.
• Participation in prayer events for drought affected areas.
• Participation in prayer for deliverance in areas known for occult activity.
• Training for Christian leaders on Strategic Planning.
• Seminar on Globalisation.
• Seminar on the role of the Church in sustainable investment (in collaboration with Hope Fund Burundi).
• Crusades.
• Church-based evangelism.
• Visits to preach in local churches.

Visits to local churches take place frequently in the Bujumbura area, but also include places further afield in Burundi and also in Uvira, D.R. Congo.
